Bringing Delilah Home From Surgery!

The day after surgery, Friday, June 7th, we were able to go to the Vet and pick up Delilah.

We were so impressed with how happy go lucky she was. She is such a trooper! You can see in the video that she is not ready to put weight on her leg yet. But I am writing this on June 8th, the next day, and she is already putting a little bit more weight on her leg.

So here are the orders after her hip surgery/spay...

She can eat regularly which is good.
She will need to take pain medication and an antibiotic regularly.
She may NOT run, jump, use stairs, or be outside for any prolonged amount of time for 14-21 days.
She will need to return to the Vet in 12-14 days to have her staples removed.

The Meds.
All tuckered out and sleeping in the living room on movie night.
Delilah is really enjoying her memory foam bed!
She is even able to sleep on her right side!
We found these treats that contain Glucosamine!
Yum! Tasty and good for her!
